Adonis Ghanem, Managing Director of Ghanema Group, has led the business with his brother Nehme since 2006, when they opened their first venue, Byblós Brisbane. The Group now spans 13 venues, including Brisbane’s Blackbird Bar & Grill, Donna Chang, and Iris Rooftop – which is in Queensland Hotels Association’s Hall of Fame for Best Rooftop Bar; Melbourne’s Byblós and Blackbird, and heritage pubs The Fox (Brisbane) and The Commercial Hotel (Boonah). Their latest venture, Boonah Brewing Co., complements ongoing restorations at the Commercial Hotel, where accommodation will be completed later in 2025. Adonis’ passion and precision ensure interiors and menus are thoughtfully tailored to suit each venue’s unique character.
