Managing Director, Hakfoort Group
Albert Hakfoort is a second-generation publican and the current Managing Director of the Hakfoort Group (which now owns six hotels across Queensland: in Bowen, Dalby, Toowoomba and Brisbane). He grew up working and learning all aspects of the hospitality industry in regional and urban Queensland.
Albert’s talent is in transforming distressed venues into vibrant and successful hotels with broad community appeal, with a strong focus on consistent, high-level customer service.
In recent years the Hakfoort Group has refurbished the Bowen Hotel in Bowen, the Burke and Wills Hotel in Toowoomba, and the newly re-opened and re-imagined Lord Stanley Hotel in Brisbane. Several more exciting projects are on the horizon.
