James Ingram

Co-founder and Managing Director

James Ingram is co-founder and Managing Director of Peninsula Hospitality, operator of The
Dry Dock Public House and Dining Room in Sydney’s Balmain. Under his leadership, The Dry
Dock has been awarded 2026 SMH Pub of the Year, One Chef’s Hat, 2026 Best Bar & Pub –
Time Out Australia Food & Drink Awards, and 2025 Best Wine List – Australian Liquor Industry
Awards.

With over thirty-five years of hospitality experience, James’s early career began at Berowra
Waters Inn, Rockpool, and Bibendum in London, before establishing his own award-winning
restaurants and bars in Sydney. He has held senior executive roles including Group GM Food
& Beverage at Merivale, GM Projects & Development at Solotel, and founding CEO of Etymon
Projects. A founding advisory board member of Hawke’s Brewing Co. and current advisory
board member of Red Mill Rum.

James also runs Ingram Advisory, a strategic hospitality consultancy, and is regarded for his
creative and authentic approach to building experience-led hospitality.
