Founded in 1989 with the Newport Family Hotel—the company has expanded significantly over two generations. Under Tom’s leadership, Francis Venues has transformed from a single hotel operation into a thriving enterprise with ten venues, employing over 600 staff.

Over the past six years, Francis Venues has followed a strategic growth model, revitalizing underperforming hotel leases and securing long-term investments to strengthen its portfolio. The company ventured into New South Wales, further diversifying its reach and ensuring continued expansion in the hospitality industry.

Beyond managing hotels, Tom Francis is an active figure in Victoria’s hotel sector. He serves as an AHA VIC Executive Board Member. With deep expertise in both on-premise and retail hospitality, Tom is committed to fostering positive change and driving sustainable growth for the industry.
